My wife and I just got in to Vancouver BC and were walking down Davie St trying to decide on where to eat. We saw Ramen Koika. When we stepped in it was like entering a ramen eatery in Japan. We were in Japan for...two weeks in March and had the opportunity to have ramen several times. This was by far the best and most authentic ramen I have had since returning from Japan. We had the gyoza, which was very tasty and like what we had in Japan. I stuck to a classic ramen with hard noodles and was not disappointed. My wife enjoyed her chicken ramen very much. We are here for a week and plan to go back again. Like some other’s mentioned, this is a small place good for singles and couples. I did see a family with three small children come in and line up at the bar, but this is not the place for a large party. One thing I look for is who is coming in and when it is an ethnic restaurant are there people of that ethnicity eating there. Many of the people that came in were of Asian heritage, which told me we were in an establishment accepted by people who should know good ramen.
