Our group of (10) arrived 90 minutes before curtain, with the intent of having a quick drink and bite to eat, and Mythik failed to deliver, on an epic level. Mythik promotes itself as a "tapas restaurant". It is not. It is supposed to be...a great "pre-event" dining option, "great for groups". It is not. Problem is not with the food, the problem is with the restaurant's management. Issues: 1. It took over twenty minutes to get through the security gate LOCATED IN THE ENTRANCE TO MYTHIK. We were told it was there to allow guests to go directly into the Bell Center, but that was simply not true. The entrance into the arena is "VIP-only", and we had to go back outside, and, you guessed it, go back thru security. 2. Drink failure. We ordered two simple drinks, both "martini" style. They mixed them up, delivering a clear gin martini with olives, when a dirty Ketel One martini was ordered, and vice versa. Twenty minutes to remedy. (See a problem emerging here?) 3. Service failure: It took over an hour to get our apps and mains. A single waitress was assigned to our group, while the other servers (4) each attended to single parties of two. Manager busy chatting with servers, oblivious to his guests. 4. Manager failure: At 7:55, we were told our desserts would not be out for "a while", and our wonderful (but overworked) server offered to either have us come back after the show, or wrap them up for us. Then the checks came, which we paid, and THEN our desserts arrived, along with the manager. Instead of apologizing, he became belligerent, told us they would be closed after the event, and would NOT allow us to take our desserts out. At that point, we gave up, went BACK OUTSIDE to get into the Bell Center, and enjoyed the show. Mythik needs to get its act together, in order to have any chance of success. The food itself was quite good, full compliments to the kitchen and service team. They should fire the manager, re-think the whole entry ordeal.
