I had never heard of this place before, but i trusted my friend who told me, the 1$ oyster thursday evenings are amazing! And indeed, she definitely was right! The chef who is from South America, receives fresh products every day and knows very well...how to make them shine in your plate. The oysters were coming from the East coast and they were perfectly fresh and delicious. We ate them with a very interesting side dish which are like small pieces of fried squash and its salsa! Very good! One basket wasn't enough and we quickly asked for more. The homemade bread was so good that the whole meal could have been bread, and we would have been amazed! So after this great beginning, we really couldn't wait more to receive our main courses! The service was nicely done, and even though it was the first day of our waiter, he was very professional and kind. Our meals arrived and we definitely discovered that the chef has artistic skills! Beautiful and colorful plates, he likes to enhance the products and makes you discover new food combination. I had a perfectly cooked duck breast, with goat cheese, squash purée, saskatoonberry sauce and caramelized oinions. Flavorful, colorful and so delicious! My only regret... i would have loved to have more of this purée and caramelized onions. My friends had buffalo ribs and calf's liver, both amazing to look at and to eat! I would say that this young chef knows very well his job, and the mix of his latin origins with european and canadian influences are very well mastered in this open kitchen! 'Freshness and design' could be the right words to describe this evening and i can't wait to go back for more!More
