My amazing Boyfriend surprised me with an impromptu dinner tonight, on our 10-month “official relationship” anniversary :) He had been to this restaurant before, mainly for work events and loved it. This was my first time here (I don’t know LaSalle much) and I loved...it too! Beautiful decor and atmosphere (BF tells me it’s been renovated in the past couple years). The bar area especially is very nice, and I loved the light fixtures. Service was great too, very prompt at first but we came in early in the evening and by the time we left, it was getting very busy and a bit slower. Our waiter was still very friendly and professional. We ordered a pepperoni pizza (for him) and spaghetti vongole (for me) and it was delicious. My pasta was cooked perfectly, with *a lot* of clams. My boyfriend loved his pizza. Great drinks too, nice Pinot Grigio and he really enjoyed his Bloody Caesar. 2 things... I felt the table was really wide, and we were seated a bit awkwardly far from each other (this seems to happen to me often... maybe I’m just too short lol). Also, when ordering a pasta dish with shellfish they should really bring a small plate for the shells (my bread plate was long gone by then). Overall a great evening!! Definitely keeping this place in mind as an option to celebrate again in 2 months :)More
