I visited this restaurant with my sister and my daughter for a special night out on our girls weekend in Montreal. We debated between the Vieux-Port Steakhouse and Gibby's; we have been to Gibby's many times and it never disappoints but we thought we would...try something new. The atmosphere on the back terrace is lovely and very inviting. We started with cocktails - the red sangria was great but the white sangria and cosmopolitan were not drinkable. We started with the escargot and Caesar's salad. The escargot were excellent however the salad was bland and very dry. For main courses we each had filet mignon and lobster tails. We ordered wine for dinner - asked for 3 different wines on their wine list and told each time they they were sold out only to be upsold on a wine that they had "available". When our main courses arrived, sadly, the steaks were honestly the worst we have ever had at any restaurant. My sister's steak was ordered medium and showed up to the table blue rare - when identified to the waiter he offered to put it back on the grill - it arrived absolutely charred on the outside and still raw in the middle. It was inedible. Worse were the lobster tails which were cooked to the point of sawdust. The icing on the cake were the French fries (frites) which honestly must have come from the McDonald's up the street. The meal was so bad that it was laughable! I tried to politely speak to the manager but was told she was unavailable to speak with me. Any reputable steakhouse would be ashamed to serve food of such a low quality. Honestly horrible. The entire experience was so disappointing and we will absolutely never return to this restaurant again! the nicest thing about this restaurant is the terrace, just don't eat here.
