Ordered food. Told between a 1 to 1-1/2 hr wait. Not great, but we planned accordingly. One hour goes by. Next half hour goes by. Another half hour goes by (2 hrs now). Call to store. Girl cannot find order but says she is sure...that it is on the road and will get there very soon. ANOTHER half hour goes by ... call again ... same promise ... but still no food. ANOTHER half hour goes by (3 hrs in total now). Phone and ask to cancel. Girl tells us very same thing, but we have been waiting 3 hrs now and are famished. We pack up and as we are leaving, driver arrives with food. Driver is completely unapologetic. He is upset that we no longer want food. Driver tells me not to patronize his restaurant again. Wow. My advice to this restaurant; - if you give a timing ... keep the timing - if circumstances arise beyond your control and you cannot keep the timing and know that you are going to be REALLY late ... call the customer and tell them - DON’T tell the customer the food is “just about to arrive” when it is not - DON’T get upset at the customer and tell them not to patronize your restaurant ... you will not only have lost all of their future business, but all of their friends and family whom they will go out of their way to tell their story toMore
