We knew this was a popular restaurant, and that they do not take reservations for outside tables. Knowing this, we arrived at 6:20 pm to put our name on the patio waitlist for a birthday dinner for two. The two young ladies at the desk...said we would get a table "around 8 pm", which was fine with us. They said it could likely be earlier than that and they would text us as soon as something was available. All fine with that, and we went for a walk as planned. Not receiving any text, we arrived back at the restaurant at 8 pm and were told nothing available and would not be for "a long time, at least another hour." We were very unhappy with that and told them so. Someone who looked like a manager of some sort came over and had no explanation for the poor info we had been given, simply repeating over and over "there are no tables to give you." We were very hungry so went elsewhere. While we understand that waitlists are somewhat unpredictable, the info given to us was completely faulty and management should fix this.
