We had a gift certificate for a set dinner for four which we'd won at a silent auction in October. I made the reservation on Wednesday for Saturday night, explaining on the phone that we'd be using the gift certificate. When we arrived for dinner...I was told by the very excitable host that we should have given them 24 hours notice, and as I tried to explain that I had, she cut me off several times before I could finish my sentences. Once our friends arrived the meal started and the tasteless won ton soup was indicative of most of the dishes that were brought out to us. We asked for soy sauce but that only changed the broth from tasting like hot water to salty hot water. In a review posted yesterday our friends have already accurately reviewed the individual dishes, so I won't go into detail, but I will say that we came away from the restaurant feeling very disappointed and rather embarrassed that we'd put our friends through such a meal. We won't be coming back!More
