Sorrel is an inviting room - warm colours, crisp table clothes and great lighting in the evening. The food is pretty good too but falls just short of being "excellent". I did thoroughly enjoy the oysters as an appetizer - at $1 each (after 4:00pm)...they are a bargain. Freshly shaved horseradish rather than horseradish sauce would have been a better accompaniment. The veal chop entree was a little disappointing. While a sizeable piece of meat I did order it medium rare and it came medium (or even a little more) and was a little tough to eat. Service was very good - attentive without being over the top - and the wine list chock full of interesting selections from France (though expensive).
