Paradiso Gelato in Kits in Vancouver is a little like Groundhog Day, signaling when warm days are with us. It opens when there is an indication that the weather is warm enough for gelato & ice cream, & closes again when the weather cools around...September. It opened this year on April 12 & I walked past on April 15, & was immediately tempted. The very gracious owner welcomed me, telling me of new gelato flavors from Asia. She is always charming, & this year marks 10 years in business. I settled on a Ube, which is a lucious purple. I know the vegetable it is made from, which is a sort of sweet potato. I topped it with a dash of Pando, made from a fragrant leaf. It is a light green. A small tub, as pictured here below, costs 5.25$ I often get their hazelnut which is a fav. Paradiso also serves drip coffee, ice milk coffee , ice chai, ice matcha, passion fruit, honey & lemon The sun is out; gelato is served. Posted by S FullerMore
