I recently went to Takumi for a quiet dinner. Takumi is family owned and run serving high end traditional Japanese cuisine. I ordered assorted Sashimi, Ohitashi, Tempura and Sushi. The Ohitashi was very flavorful. The Sashimi tasted very fresh and was well presented. The Tempura...assortment unused prawns, vegetables and fish. The dipping sauce tasted freshly prepared, with a hint of ginger. The assorted sushi came with 9 pieces and California Roll. All the food was superb. The only downfall is that the on-line menu does not reflect the recent price increases. I would consider Takumi high-end, and the prices do reflect this. However Takumi is now on of only a handful of traditional Japanese restaurants left in this city. The service was friendly and attentive. As a purist of Japanese cuisine Takumi is a winner. I will definitely be back.
