My husband and I dropped by the Bonasera Pizza Restaurant on two Friday nights in April. The first Friday, this small but comfortable pub, was deserted but we stayed for pizza and a few drinks. The pizza was deliciously crispy and light and the drinks...and service were good. Not much was happening, however, except for a few dedicated VLT'rs and avid sports watchers, so we left within the hour. The next Friday when we came by, Gary Martin and his band were playing and the restaurant was packed, the parking lot jammed with cars. Most of the tables and chairs were taken but we managed to find a seat by the window to view the action. The dance floor was packed and the atmosphere was total fun on Friday night. It was great to see everybody having a good time enjoying the old danceable hits of the sixties. Gary's saxophone player was the best I'd heard in a very long time, and the band was obviously followed by loyal fans. Service, despite the crowd, was very good, and the pizza once more was crispy and light, the drinks good and served with a smile. The VLT'rs were also there, no one at the pool tables and sports could only be seen, not heard, over the music and conversation that night and you couldn't help catching the mood of celebration.
