Thought I would leave a review for all to see the appalling customer service you get at Harvey's which is then carried on by their head office "CARA" Went to Harveys on Sept 18th 2018 and ordered two burgers and fries. I then handed over...my CAA card. Harvey's offers 10% off ALL food orders with the presentation of a CAA card. ( Well so the CAA website says, Harvey's does not honour this CAA card in reality) The women behind the counter refused to take my card and pretty much shoved it back in my face and said: " You can only use that if you order a combo meal, you didn't order a combo meal" I explained I was sure she was wrong and I believe it is for any food purchase. She again told me I was wrong and she would not accept it. I said to her I really believed she was wrong and I would be looking into this further and if I turned out to be right I would make a big deal about this. She replied "Good" When I got home I called CAA and checked all the fine print. Sure enough it is "10% off ANY FOOD PURCHASE" nowhere does it say combo. So I wrote a letter to CARA food groups complaining and a couple days later got a reply from Michael that would have taken all of two seconds to write. It said sorry and let us know when you will dine with us again we will return your money. I'll be honest I thought there would be more of an explanation like: "Sorry that happened, we have spoken to that store and sent an email to all of our stores. It wont ever happen again. Here have a free meal on us." No nothing like that at all. I told Michael I wanted to take this further and asked for his line manager to discuss the matter in greater depth. Michael never wrote back to me until I wrote to him and asked "what the hell was going on?" Four days later. He replied "someone will be in touch" Sure enough a few days later a man named Rogie Herman, Regional Operations Manager for Cara, wrote to me. Below is his exact email. Hi Ben, I received your information from Micheal regarding the issue with the CAA discount. If you can kindly give me a call at ********** when you have a free moment so I may resolve this matter with you. Rogie What did Rogie say? Nothing at all is the answer. I have called Rogie three times ( my first call being on 28th September 2018 at 12:30pm) and a further two times. Rogie has not returned a single call and I know he has got my messages because his voice mail says his name so I know I am calling the right number. Cara food group you should be ashamed of the employees you have working for you and the customer service you offer to customers. It is unprofessional, rude and flat out disgusting.
