My daughter and I are foodies and we took advantage of a free Sunday afternoon to try out a new restaurant for lunch today--Verde Juice Bar was on Britt's list for a while now, so we headed out to Wolseley area to check out the...place. It was an awesome first time visit! We each got the soupe du jour (coconut curry lentil)--which was absolutely delish and shared a huge spinach-beet-cashew-quinoa salad with avocado substituted for the feta cheese--all gobbled up lickety-split! I also ordered a cup of English Breakfast tea and was really pleased that it was loose leaf and not just ground-up grit in a bag! We are definitely returning to this place and hope to sample the juices and bowls next time. We normally frequent the restaurants and bistros that are along Sherbrook, but are willing to veer off the beaten track, now that we know what we were missing! When we got home, I decided to give a review of our experience and discovered that this restaurant was not listed with TripAdvisor Canada, so I decided to rectify that situation. I was unable to enter the times that this restaurant is open in the framework provided, so I am listing them here... Monday to Friday = 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday = 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday = 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Staff are super friendly and efficient. The artwork is contemporary and the seating is casual. Lots of sunshine poured through the big front window--a real plus during Winnipeg winters. This was an all-round great experience!More
