Fastoche" is French slang meaning "dead easy" — it's a cinch!
"Fastoche" is French slang meaning "dead easy" -- it's a cinch! We have eaten a Sandwicherie Fastoche a few times, at its branch in the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec -- which branch now seems to be closed -- and at its location in...the Halles du Petit-Quartier, on Cartier. Sandwicherie Fastoche offers (surprise!) sandwiches, as well as salads and soups, to eat in or to take away. The decor is bright and modern. The sandwiches are made of healthy ingredients. Our latest visit involved two trios (sandwich, soup and drink): a Poulet pesto, tapenade et brie and a Végé. Both excellent. The personnel were friendly and helpful. Grab and window seat and you can enjoy watching the passers-by on avenue Cartier.
