I popped into True True for a snack and a glass of wine last night while I was waiting for my wife to return from work. The ambiance is lovely, soft lighting with good music (not too loud), comfy seats and a good layout. The...service was quick and friendly. And the Mushroom Flatbread I had for a snack was delicious - one of the best I've tasted. But it was $19!! And it was small - a tapas type shareable dish. The wine was nice - between $12 and $15 dollars a glass - but they didn't have Pinot Grigio which means my wife won't be able to come back (that's all she likes). My bill, for one small flatbread and two glasses of wine, came to over $60, which is pricey. I imagine a full meal here with a couple of drinks would add up very quickly and would rival some of Toronto's more high end restaurants. I'm guessing the rents are high in this part of town but the location is not in any of Toronto's high end restaurant rows so the pricing seems a little out of whack. Overall - Great spot, great food and great service but a little too much $$$More
