I've been going to Carisse off and on for the past two-three years as my scheduled allows. It's often filled with regulars and conversation follows between tables and with the staff - providing a very congenial atmosphere to enjoy the varied daily specials that Pat...has whipped up. The quality is always of the highest and the variety good - though thank heavens she keeps some popular items on her regular menu. And it's always fun to peruse Jean-Marc's every changing gallery - a very impressive portfolio - a wealth of local and national history. I'm leaving Ottawa shortly and one of the things I'll miss is dropping in for either that quick coffee or a more leisurely lunch.
