arrived at the table at 1140, have a lunch date for 12, already have her order on my phone so we don't need to order when she gets here. 1143 was seated and had a coffee on my table, great start. Uh oh lipstick on...my cup, server walked by 3 to 4 times then finally i was able to get her attention, at 1150, 1155 a cup was brought to my table, no coffee was made. (overheard her telling another customer, there are only two staff on) she chatted with the other customers and greeted them friendly and courteous. 1155 i placed my order and my lunch dates order and read it from my phone. 1158 i got my coffee. 1205 lunch date arrives, her beverage was not served, but she was greeted by the server and asked what she would like to drink, i said i ordered her drink at 1155, was told by the server who took my lunch order, it wasn't her that took my order lol...so i inform my lunch date of what has happened here, this is the second time in this restaurant dealing with the same server with the same results. She said what do you think its about, i said its my colour that bothers her. She watched other patrons come into the restaurant, and noticed the difference in treatment between white/brown folks and said as much to me. Talk about a hostile environment having to deal with racism while trying to have a meal with a beautiful woman. We eat our meal, food was mediocre but its one of the only spots in the mall to have a bit of privacy. We settle our bill, and i ask to have the managers card, server tells me they don't have cards, then i ask for the managers name and number and she says i'll be right back, she returns and says, we don't give out the managers name or number and if i have a complaint i need to lodge it with corporate office there numbers on the website lol... thats what her manager told her. (according to her) I call the number after i leave and speak with jessica, the manager who said my understanding is not what she understood, it was conveyed to her that i had requested her personal cel phone number. Jessica took my number and will be calling me back, would i recommend eating there, not really the foods mediocre, the service is poor and the racism is pretty apparent.....
