Dining here really feels like dining in a private club or, rather, at someone's home. This someone is a couple who own the restaurant and also do the cooking and the serving. First, the guests are seated in a lobby/living room, offered drinks and small...appetizers, and then invited to the dining room with a large table for 12. When we were there, there were only 6 of us. The food was creative and delicious. Well worth a 20 min walk from the touristy area. Kebec should be much higher on the tripadvisor list. It is one of the finest. My only less than stellar comment is that when you make a reservation online, the site quotes the price of $110 Canadian per person, but the price at the restaurant was $140 Canadian. I felt that was a bit high considering that Taniere is $150 and Taniere offers a more upscale and intricate experience. So I feel that if you can afford only one fine dining experience, I would choose Taniere. That said, if you can afford two, by all means, these are the two restaurants to go to in Quebec city, imho.
