Had it not been recommended by our B&B owner we may have walked by - it is a very unassuming and low-key looking place. Not especially welcoming, from the outside. But once in the people are very friendly and it is clear this is a...local watering hole where everyone knows each other and the atmosphere is friendly and pleasant. Think of Cheers, only not very trendy. The usual beers on tap (but as a bonus they had Rolling Rock!). We had an evening meal, and the food was really very good. Might sound odd but the only negative about the meal was that there were too many fires - a heap with our veggie wrap and cheeseburger. I would rather pay a dollar less and have half the fires. The meals were typically priced in the $12 to $15 range for sandwiches/burgers. Another small point on the con side was that it was warm - too warm. There is no air conditioning and the few ceiling fans merely moved warm air, and slowly. But all in all I would return and I can recommend Stoneroads to you.
