We were looking for a good place to have a good breakfast in West Hamilton and Dundas. As other places like the Pancake house and West End diner over run.... Boy were we in for a great surprise 7 minutes drive down Governor's Road (aka...highway 99 at Creighton Road. Great all day breakfast menu ranging from a standard breakfast to Eggs Benedict as well as french toast, pancakes and everything in between. They get it right, my friend! .Over- easy eggs were over easy, the toast was golden, the bacon crisp but not burned. Endless cup of coffee was very good... Tea comes in a pot. Governor's got the little things right too like a warm plate, good quality jam and marmalade, and hash browns were yummy. The wait staff is friendly and professional and very attentive Restaurant has been very nicely renovated in upscale decor. Light, airy and very very clean... Old booths taken out and restaurant space opened up. Rest rooms renovated and very clean and airy. We've come back for the lunch menu too. Good standard Canadian family restaurant fare. Burgers, BLTs, chicken, fish and chips, salads and a nice daily in-house made soup of the day.... Their daily specials also revolve nicely so there is always something nice that goes through the rotation. This has become our new favourite place. Looking for a place to go for Weekend breakfast with the family or friends? Looking for a decent place to have just good old Canadian fare... Governor's your place.. Oh... and the parking is very good and wheelchair/walker accessible.. We love the Governor! Thanks for bringing a good family restaurant to Dundas and West Hamilton area!More
