Thought we would try out this-new-to-us pizza place. They make rectangular pizza on a type of flatbread that measures 7" x 12, 24, or 36" I called and ordered for pick up. 1 pepperoni and mushrooms, add black olives; and 1 Brie and prosciutt; and...a beet salad. We got there after the required 20 minutes and our order wasn't ready yet. Not a problem.....the guy was ringing up another woman's order. Then, he started putting prosciutto and arugula on a pizza - WITHOUT WASHING HIS HANDS!!!! A girl (another employee? Maybe the owner?) put her purse and phone down about a foot away from the cutting table and squirted the balsamic vinegar onto the pizza. Another guy took another pizza out of the oven and she grabbed the cutter and started cutting the pizza. I said to her - you haven't washed your hands and you're touching all my food? Then I turned to the first guy and said - you touched money and the cash register and touched all the food too! She asked if I wanted them to remake the pizza - I responded with "you should. And you need to have better hygiene rules when touching other people's food." They remade both pizzas. Then he handed me the paper bag the salad was in, but it was all wet on the bottom. So I looked inside and the salad was on its side. He brought me a new bag, but I had to tell him that he needed to put the container in flat on the bottom. We opened the pepperoni pizza and found hot Italian sausage and salami, no pepperoni. And kalamata olives, not black olives. My beet salad had a container with less than 1/2 tsp of dressing....at least now I know what had leaked in that first bag. All that said, the pizza was decent. We might go back the next time we are having a pizza craving.
