My nephew , a vancouver resident took me to this unassuming little place for “rice” burgers. In a city with a plethora of sophisticated, innovative and diverse cuisine —this place is a refreshing change. An owner who obviously has a passion for food ( and...shows it ) displays a meager 9 entrees on the menu. The take is rice buns for the burger instead of the traditional bread buns. The burgers range from spicy chicken Katsu to Korean spicy pork. We tried these two in addition to the shrimp tempura, beef yakiniku and popcorn chicken. Each one is freshly made and has a lot of umami flavour. Add ones are an egg, extra spicy, double the meat etc. etc. Oh!! The owners recommendation —pop a piece of popcorn chicken followed by a bite of your choice burger to get the maximum “ mouth feel “ No need to write any more —-an unreserved recommendation!! Try it for something totally different on the Vancouver foodie horizon. Simple unassuming cuisine that delivers !!! I sure will be back!!!More
