Went on a Tuesday evening with 4 friends. We were expecting the food and the service to be slow (as per their previous experience) but everything came out really fast. The service performed, her name is Awa, was just fantastic. She was courteous, polite and...attentive. It was my 1st time in an African restaurant and I was hesitating between the ginger and hibiscus juice, without saying anything she offered me 2 "samples". Even though both juices were delicious, the samples were huge so I didn't ordered a drink which she was totally fine with (even though I didn't explain it to her). We ordered the thieboudien, the grilled goat, the grilled lamb, the thiebouyap and the chicken in peanut sauce. We also had the pastel and the fatayas as appetizers. The pastel and fatayas are basically stuffed meat/fish in a paste (a bit like a dumpling...) and it's then fried. It's served with a spicy vegetable sauce and a vegetable sauce. The pastel and fatayas were really fresh and it came each as a portion of 7 for 4,50$. The thieboudien was a bit dry and the chicken in peanut sauce was good. The rice of the thibouyap was really good (tasted like beef bouillon) with a few pieces of meat (not too much). The portions are excellent (not huge as per most people standard) but it was enough for me to pack a lunch the following day. The stars of the meal were certainly the grilled meat. It's just everything grilled meat should be. As I said before the juices were also excellent, I particularly enjoyed the ginger one as it came with the kind of kick one should expect from ginger. As I also said, service was absolutely great and on top of the regular tip, I also left her the money of the juice she so graciously offered me. Will certainly be back soon!More
