Went on a Saturday night to celebrate my birthday. Have seen Samurai Gourmet on Netflix and got interested in Oden, and this was the only place in Vancouver that offered it. Zakkushi's Oden was soon good. Doesn't seem like it was cooked in broth for...longer time, but it was still good. "Oishi" i kept on saying. Also had a few yakitoris. they were so good! My favourite is the chicken liver. My not so favourite was the sardines - it was so so salty! (And they are quite expensive.) Ambience was nice. I particularly like the rustic Japanese feel, and the Japanese music thats neither old nor pop. It was good. Better be there early as the place is not that big, and it gets busy really fast! I will definitely come back and next time I will just indulge in Oden!More
