I discovered Rockaberry through a friend who recommended their delicious pies and I had to give it a try. On my first visit, I had the table d'hote (which starts with soup or salad) with the Mac n Cheese which was absolutely yummy. I'm not...an appetizer person to begin with, and it ended up being too much food (I could only finish half the entree, I had the rest packed up to save room for dessert.) On my second visit, I considered myself forewarned about the amount of food. I sincerely wanted the Mac n Cheese, was told that I could not have it without ordering the table d'hote. I didn't want to start with a soup or salad and then have an entree. So I ordered the French Onion Soup as my main course (which was one of the best I have ever had). I took the recommendation for my dessert choice from the waitress. I was told that the Apple Crumb Cheese was the most popular item. To be honest, I found it far too heavy and rich and wished I had chosen the Apple Crumble instead. In the past I had had the Rockabrownie, which chocolate mousse on a bed of chocolate brownie, which is delicious. However, I wanted to try something different. Next time, Apple Crumble. I would strongly suggest that the restaurant not lock in certain entrees like Chicken Parmigiana and Mac n Cheese to the table d'hote format. Let us order separately. Understand that when your restaurant is so well known for its desserts, locking in some of your nicest entrees to a table d'hote forces the customer to order too much food. Otherwise, very nice food and cozy atmosphere.
