We were way early for an appointment at a physiotherapist's nearby and had to kill an hour. So we wandered towards this very short street that I had seen from my car and that had some restaurants on it. Two of them were closed, so...luckily we chose The Lions Den. It is Jamaican plus Japanese fusion-you can have one or the other or a combination, or "just Canadian food." I had a spicy gumbo, my daughter had a grilled cheese sandwich (the best she every had she told me), and my husband had a Jamaican stew. All very, very good. Wait Help were very nice- perhaps related to the chef (Japanese mom who is married to a Jamaican chef). Quite polite- almost as polite as wait help we had had in Japan. Anyhow, it was an hour well-spent at a restaurant I never would have chosen if I had not been forced to look for something to eat. Great coffee by the way.
