I had made the reservation almost three months in advance, and called two weeks before just to get details about the tasting menu and confirm. Then less than a week before my reservation, they called me to cancel, saying they'd booked a private affair. Not...only that, they told me that this private party had been booked for some time, and I seem to have slipped through the cracks. So I had to try to find a reservation for two (me and my picky friend) for a Saturday night in Toronto. All good places had no reservations, but the person I spoke to said she'd try to help and call me back. I'm still waiting for the call. If you want to play reservation roulette, go ahead. I would advise against it.
