First visit here and we were disappointed as we had high expectations for our new local restaurant and it was even recommended by Giardino when we couldn’t get in there. The staff were amazing though. The atmosphere is nice but it is very loud due...to bad acoustics I think. We could really not hear our waitress at all (masked but just really loud). The food was mostly disappointing, especially for the price. Caesar salads were swimming in dressing that was way too rich. That theme continued with the risotto two of us had, one of us with short rib. The short rib was fantastic but the risotto was swimming in a lot of very rich sauce that made it thin like a soup and was so full of presumably cheese, butter and or cream that it was way too overpoweringly rich. There was so much sauce each forkful slid through and off the fork. The short rib made it tolerable but I think without it I might have not been able to eat it. The duck ragout and prawn appetizer were just ok. The bolognese was apparently very good so disappointed I didn’t get that. Service was good although they had a bit of trouble serving 4 appes then 4 pastas at the same time. Overall disappointing enough that we probably won’t go back although the overall idea and menu make me want to try again with fingers crossed. We do want it to be our fantastic local Italian place!More
