We had really high hopes for this restaurant after reading all the reviews and being on the Top 100 list for Canadian Restaurants. It fell a bit short of expectations as the food was tasty but not the innovative dishes we thought we would get....The Octopus Salad was really good (loved all the kinds of radishes and the parsely and chili puree is so good), however the octopus was extremely tough. At one point i thought about spitting out the large piece in my mouth as i couldn't chew it. The Spaghettini Nero was good but i didn't find the fusion that interesting or something we haven't done at home. The whole fried fish was done perfectly but this is a staple in every restaurant in Mexico so i didn't find it overly innovative. The shishitos were good but the whipped lardo is just like eating a spoon full of fat (the ratio seemed all wrong on the plate). This might seem like a harsh review for some really good food but I think our expectations were so high especially since they are on the top 100 lists and that list has some really talented cooks and meals that far exceeded their rank compared to this one. I will say the service was absolutely outstanding, our waitress was the best.
