Momofuku was a very average experience. Service felt rushed, and we weren’t checked up on throughout our visit. Some items were just placed on our table without anything being said or even getting our attention; something that’s never happened to me at a sit down...restaurant. I understand if it’s a busy day, but our waitress left before I even had time to say “thank you” after we paid. I expect better service from a restaurant charging $18+ for a ramen bowl. On the note of the ramen bowl, for $18 it was nothing special. The noodles themselves were average, and the broth - while tasty - was nothing special. I also would’ve preferred a traditional cured ramen egg to the poached eggs served, however that it just my preference. I also felt the menu was fairly limited and I would’ve liked to have more options when ordering. Overall, I feel like there’s better options for ramen for less money in Toronto. I don’t plan on returning to Momofuku or recommending it.
