Dropped by here for some dim sum as I wanted to do some shopping close by. The place is located in a parking mall where parking fills up very fast because of this restaurant and the C&T grocery store in the same parking mall so...I was forced to find parking on the street about a block away in a free residential parking area. The way it works here is that you will have dim sum items pushed around on carts and if you are interested in an item on the cart, you just ask the lady pushing the cart for the item(s). She will then put the item(s) on your table and put a little check mark on this paper located on your table indicating the number of items you picked at the price of the item. Generally they will announce the names of the items in Cantonese and Mandarin. For English and French, they will sometimes show the item or might say it in those languages depending on the language fluency of the lady pushing the cart. I can understand simple Cantonese so ordering and understanding what was said wasn't an issue. Even if it is an issue, when the ladies will show you what is on their cart and if it looks interesting/appetizing, you just ask for it. I found the food to be good but pricier than similar dim sum items in Chinatown. Almost all of the items that I ordered were $5 per plate (the standard har gow (4 pieces), siu mai (4 pieces), small egg tarts (3 pieces), spring rolls (3 pieces), etc.). The only 2 items which I had which turned out to be less at $3.75 was the steamed pork buns (3 pieces) and this type of crispy taro puffs/dumplings (3 pieces) that I enjoy. I wasn't overly impressed with the steamed pork buns but everything else was very good. Service was decent and the food was good. I will generally come here when I want to have dim sum and don't want to have to either drive or take public transit to Chinatown.
