My wife and I have been going to Defina for years! What started out as a curiosity on our walks up and down Roncy's became an obsession after our first visit. I think we have tried everything on the menu and have not had a...bad meal there. I would guesstimate we have been there about 30-40+ times since 2013. We've gotten to know the staff and the owner. It's a very popular place that doesn't take reservations at the Roncy location but does on Dupont. The great thing about walking in the front door is that you are greeted immediately with a warm smile and a cold pint/glass of wine as you stand and wait for your table. The pizza is by far the best we have had in Toronto, we've tried ALL the big players... Other stand outs on the menu is their seasonal salads, crispy green beans with a truffle aioli drip (save some for your pizza crusts!!) and their brussel sprouts are ridiculous! The place has a very cool, comfortable atmosphere. Dom, Lauren and the rest of the crew always chat regardless of how busy the night is, even if it's just to say a quick hello and how are ya? Totally recommend Defina. Sadly, due to the closure of indoor dinning in Toronto as a result of the Covid pandemic we have had to settle for delivery or pickup, which we've done multiple times over the past 7-8 months. Order some! You won't be disappointed. And when it's time, head over for a great sit down experience.
