A croque madame is often defined by the bread - too soft and everything gets soggy. Too hard and it’s a task to enjoy. The one I had was just perfect - crisp crust and soft spongy centre. Even the greens were fresh and I...ended up cleaning my plate. The loaded hash browns are a generous serving so two people can happily share. Latte has my personal seal of approval as well - I didn’t need to add the offered sugar cubes thanks to the rich foam. Visited right after the first snowfall. May be back in spring to enjoy a sidewalk patio experience!More
