My wife is Indonesian and she was worried that the dishes might have been "westernized" like many other Asian restaurants in Canada. But we were happy to confirm that the food was true, authentic (and delicious) Indonesian cuisine. We brought our friends from Calgary there...for their first taste of Indonesian food, and they loved it. The owner is a warm and friendly lady and kept asking how we liked the food as she brought the dishes out. We had so many dishes that I don't think I can remember them all... but I'll try. Ayam Bakar (grilled chicken) Gado Gado (Indonesian salad with peanut sauce) Rendang Sapi (Curried beef) Nasi Kuning (Yellow rice) Ayam Satay (Grilled chicken skewers) Pisang Goreng with ice cream (Fried banana) Our friends loved it and will definitely be back. We will too if we ever get to Calgary again. Note that the food is slightly expensive compared to other types of Asian restaurants, but Indonesian food costs more to make if the right ingredients are used.
