I’d wanted to try Massawa for years and finally got my chance when a friend suggested we go. Eritrean cuisine is not unlike Ethiopian, if you’re familiar. Worth the wait as everything is made to order. The best injera I’ve ever had (unleavened sourdough bread...it’s served with). Everything is packed with flavor & spiciness, and the cocktails are great as well. They feature meat and vegetarian options, no pork though, and a nice drink list. Very clean, well kept gem in the heart of the village. It was a wonderful experience and I insist you get in there if you have the chance.
