It is a crime that I’ve lived on Denman for over a year and only just discovered this place. Ofra’s Kitchen is a GEM with authentic, flavorful Israeli dishes. I haven’t had anything like it since I travelled to Israel three years ago! Ofra herself...is a delightfully amiable individual who has an earnest passion for her cuisine, and let me tell you that it makes for a delicious meal. My mom and I had the vegan shawarma and Greek shakshuka, both of which were really tasty! For those of you who are skeptical about vegan/vegetarian restaurants— get over it because this place is a must-try. The restaurant is unassuming and homey with Israeli music playing in the background. Ofra runs the place entirely on her own, which makes it even more impressive that our food arrived so quickly. Overall, this place has high quality service and food, and the owner is so very sweet. I will absolutely come back for more.
