I’ve been going to this restaurant since it opened years ago. When they first opened, it was very good! Now however, we have experienced a hair in our food, a dead mosquito hanging overhead from a spiderweb (right over our food!), burned pork with charcoal...flavour, diminished portions, bad service...they never check on you and you have to go and get your own utensils/water/takeout boxes etc., and they have a Vietnamese lady at the desk that cannot speak English very well! This lady seems to only be interested in talking with you when she hands you the visa machine, asking you “family happy?” or “everything o.k.?” (hoping that she will get you to tip more!). Maybe the waiters should have been asking that question while we were eating! Quite honestly, you should have people working at the desk who can actually speak English and have more personality than a cardboard box! We have also experienced one time where they totally forgot to put in our order and after about half an hour of waiting, we had to remind them...this resulted in no apology from them or no compensation on the bill! They have also had a change in staff/cooks because the wonton soup used to taste really good years ago but now, it tasted like it had cloves in it!!! Totally disgusting! Even one of the young waitresses agreed with me that the food isn’t as good anymore but she didn’t want to address my concerns with her “manager” (the rude non-English speaking “lady”at the desk who probably pockets most of the tips that the waiters earn)! As well, we used to order the wonton soup (which came with 10 wontons) in a big bowl and now, it is in a smaller bowl with only 5 wontons! The salad rolls and the stir fries too used to come with a mixture of beef, shrimp and pork but now, it is only one meat. All the portions have shrunk even the beef subs! The tea as well is not as good as it used to be. So...if you are looking for a place to be disappointed in, then this is the place! It is only a matter of time before the health inspector comes to this place! We will definitely be going to another Vietnamese restaurant in the future!More
