Today was my second visit to J’s. The food is really good and they make perhaps the best latte I’ve had in years. Two types of food. One is more creative board of Japanese Katsu fried foods (lots of options) and you won’t find that...at most places. They also have traditional brunch food if that’s more your thing. Aburi sushi here is really good, I recommend having that as a share item for the table! They sold out today tho! Atmosphere is very cute, cozy and typical of the places you’ll find on Harbord... so it will work for any casual outing. The staff take a lot of pride in their craft here. Very pleasant to deal with and there’s an emphasis on quality. Both times, we changed our reservation last second to add two very energetic toddlers, and we were accommodated without any fuss. Overall, it’s now my favourite local brunch spot and I look forward to the aburi next time!!More
