Good, but not great or outstanding. My sister and I were visiting Quebec City for Carnaval. It was also valentines weekend so top restaurants hard to get into. We were pleased to be able to get a reservation here. The place is small but quaint....There are dividers between tables for COVID safety. We ordered appetizers of eggplant Parmesan and salmon tartare. The eggplant was uneventful and not worth ordering again. The salmon tartare was nicely flavoured with a good portion. We shared an Osso Buco for our meal. It was not served with any vegetables etc only on a bed of pasta. The sauce was like a salty gravy and not as flavourful or nicely presented as others I’ve had. My sister ordered a margarita off their cocktail menu which was not very good. I ended the meal with a crème brûle which was very good, with a nicely seared and crunchy top. The meal was served with plain sliced baguette, and very crispy (tasted quite oily) sliced baguette. There was no oil/vinegar or other tapenade/spread other than butter. All in all ok, but definitely not the calibre we were expecting. It was definitely a challenge to find consistently excellent cuisine on our trip. Perhaps COVID has had an impact in establishing and maintaining this high quality.
