My husband and I were in search of a pre-mother's day dinner and had been turned away from four other completely full restaurants in the area. We pulled out our phone and googled nearby restaurants and decided to try this one. Boy are we glad...we did! The outside of the restaurant could use some work. The sign is old and dirty, there is a broken down car with a tarp on it being stored right in front, the windows are dirty and filmy making it hard to see inside. HOWEVER, inside the restaurant is clean and tidy. The tables are new and have sunken induction burners installed with individual controls, so that eat eater at the table has a safe place for their own pot of broth. There are four broth choices and we tried the Tom Yum and Spicy broths. Both amazingly flavourful and we couldn't get enough. There is a cold buffet with a bounty of frozen meats, seafood and vegetarian options. There is a fresh buffet for noodles and vegetables. Eat as much as you can cook in your pot of broth over the night. Additional broth is just $5. My husband and I spoke to each other very little over the course of our meal, other than to offer each other a bite of something amazing or to just say "yum". The staff were super helpful, being that we were the only Caucasians in the place, providing us with how to's and good food choices to try. I can't wait to come back with our children. Bangkok Hot Pot exceeded our expectations.
