We saw the stand while waiting for a taxi at the airport and were intrigued, but didn't have time to stop. We chatted with the taxi driver, a life long Vancouver resident, and he highly recommended eating a Japadog. He directed us to a stand...by the train station. He loves them and once waited 40 min to order during a busy festival. During our first day in Vancouver and walking around the city, we found the stand and ordered the Japadog # 1. It was delicious and hit the spot for a quick lunch as we sat by the harbor. Highly recommend everyone goes at least once as part of the Vancouver experience.The hot dog is made to order, grilled and serrated while you watch, served on a delicious bun, and topped with interesting toppings including Japanese mayonnaise and crunchy strands of nori (edible seaweed) for a wonderful combination of flavors.
