We hadn’t been to Il Cenone in a few years and decided to go back for a nice supper. I had bought a Groupon for a reasonable $49.00 for a 5 coarse supper. We were greeted by Dante, the owner for the past 15 years!...He must be doing something right, considering his restaurant is off the beaten path. After bring us water and some hot pizza slices Dante took out orders. My wife started with their Soup de jour, definitely homemade! I started with a nice sized plate of mussells. Both were very good. Next came my Risotto Primavera and my wife’s Pates Casarecci with a Rose sauce. Both excellently prepared. For our mains I went with their Scaloppine du Veau and my wife wanted their Poulet aux Poivres Verts. Both dishes were excellent, especially their sauces. We needed some bread to lap it up. For dessert, I ordered their homemade Creme Caramel, made by Dante himself and my wife had a thin slice of Chocolate cake. Coffee and tea were included but we both passed. Everything was very good. We had no problems with parking but on weekends it could be a challenge. Dante told me that they have already started with their Christmas parties. They have a room on the side especially for parties. Enjoy!More
