Food that's almost as good as what is served at Damas, but at only a little more than half the price. Nice atmosphere (quiet enough for normal conversation) and excellent service (they even have a sommelier, which was quite a nice surprise for a restaurant...of this type, and which was much appreciated given the fairly large wine list). Great place for sharing, with a wide variety of mezze plates. Though not every dish was a winner (we thought that the chicken in tahini mezze was a bit of an odd dish, and that the shish taouk main was too heavily spiced), there is more than enough on the large menu to satisfy everyone. Especially good was the fatouche salad, the eggplant spread, the filet mignon brochettes, the garlic shrimp (which you can order by the shrimp so that there will be enough for everyone at the table), and the french fries. They should however take their pitas out of the plastic bags before serving them at the table. All in all, a great experience. There's a reason why this restaurant has been in operation for 46 years, which is an eternity in this business. We will return.
