We had good food here but I think this place has gone downhill in the last while. Our server was fine with our food service but seemed totally bored with his job. We tried to engage him in conversation a few times, since we were...the only customers there but he would rather be looking at his tablet behind the counter. The cook came by twice but he didn't even ask how our food was! Another couple came in while we were there and they looked at the menu and left. The server didn't even talk to them. It is too bad since the atmosphere at Mesa Familiar does not make us want to go back an time soon.
