I was staying at the Sylvia Hotel for a week and during the course of my stay I used the restaurant for a few breakfasts, a supper and a couple of lunches. The breakfast service was attentive, friendly and efficient and the food very good....I ordered the spinach and tomato omelette twice and poached eggs once and each was excellent and served piping hot. The endless coffee pot is great. My companions raved about the banana pancakes and the eggs benedict. Lunch and supper were just as good. The view of the beach is wonderful and the ambiance friendly and relaxed. No loud "background" music during the day so you don't have to shout to be heard. This is a place equally pleasant for sharing a meal with friends or dining solo. My favourite table was a booth on the lower level directly facing the window.
