We have eaten at Bacchus many times over the last 30 years in its various incarnations but have never done the formal high tea. This has recently been reintroduced (Saturday and Sunday only at this time) so we tried it out today with 2 other...couples. Infection control practices were careful and adhered to (odd that this is now part of reviews but that's the reality). Ambience and service were superb as always (only problem being the massive traffic tie up due to construction on Hornby St). The offered sandwiches, savouries and sweets, and desserts were all high quality and fresh. The tea selection was good and there were options for champagne if desired (we passed). At $65 pp this is not a cheap grab and go but a more substantial and restful experience; we all commented afterwards that it was highly enjoyable and worth the price.
