We stayed overnight at the Coast in order to catch an early morning flight so walked up Oak Street to this place. Staff were friendly. Food was good. Decor was ok with cheap curtains hung between tables to afford some degree of privacy. We had...sushi and tempura which were fine. We doubt that many if any of the staff are Japanese since they did not respond when we spoke some Japanese phrases with them. But it could have been our pronunciation.
