We were visiting Quebec City for carnaval and stopped here on our way to the airport and are very glad we did! I had seen the reviews on Trip Advisor and was excited to try their menu. Initially disappointed they were only serving breakfast (not...that uncommon on a Sunday afternoon) we easily found options of interest to try from their limited menu. After a weekend of researching restaurants and selecting among top rated restaurants, this was hands down the best meal of our trip! They had a starter of yogourt with granola served in a glass, with a small purée of strawberry and orange in a mini shot. Very tasty. My sister ordered the salmon gravlax Benedict which was beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. It was served with wonderfully seasoned breakfast potatoes. For myself, I ordered the crab cake, with poached egg, served with salad. It was amazing. The large crab cake was served on a bed of hollandaise sauce and was topped with pickled onions and the poached egg. (They served it cooked medium so it was soft, not runny, so if you prefer it to ooze yolk when cut, you would need to specify when ordering.) The salmon cake was crisp but not greasy, with nice flavour and balance. And the salad greens were fresh with a nice dressing. Service was pleasant and attentive. The location was in a strip mall and the decor was nice; nothing especially fancy. Certainly nice for a bistro in a strip mall outside of downtown. Would highly recommend this place.
