We were out and about in Westdale and wanted a place to have lunch. I tend to be a big fan of Pub Grub so we thought we would give the Snooty Fox a try. This place is close to McMaster University, and I suspect...a lot of the patrons are University students. The interior is pretty tired, worn and dark like you would expect from a Pub. The bathrooms are in the basement and I thought were a little grungy with the graffiti and such. Our waitress was Maddy who was very friendly and helpful with input on the menu selections. My partner went with the Eggs Any Style Breakfast ($8.99) which came with 2 eggs, bacon or ham or sausage, home fried and toast. She was pleased with her meal, and as I stole some from her I can say that the home fries were nicely done. I went with the Steak and Guinness Pie ($15.05) which came with beef, onions and mushrooms covered with a puff pastry, and a tiny side Yorkshire pudding, and incredibly delicious mashed potatoes. Overall I would say that Maddy gave us good service, the food was okay, but that the interior and the washrooms could really use some cleaning up.
